MEET CHAUNTÉ GILMORE

My name is Chaunté Gilmore, a community and servant leader from NW OKC.
As a child, I moved to Oklahoma City in 1996 and graduated from Putnam City High school, The Original!  I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University in Athletic Training. Lastly, I received my Master’s in Business Administration and Healthcare Administration from Mid-America Christian University. I have been a practicing physical therapist assistant in various clinical settings in the OKC metro area.

MORE ABOUT CHAUNTÉ

I’ve been involved in my community and continue to serve in many capacities. I have served as an officer in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc, Director of Alumni and Recruitment for New Leaders Council, and Oklahoma Chapter Director for New Leaders Council. I was also a member of Oklahoma City Young Professionals for three years, the Junior League of Oklahoma City, the Greater OKC Urban League Guild, and Leadership Oklahoma City. Serving in these leadership capacities has allowed me the opportunity to help others grow and develop their own skills in an effort to make progressive change across the state of Oklahoma. I believe I can inspire others and continue to make an impact at the State Capitol as well!

A LEGACY OF SERVICE

I’ve always cared about my community and leaving a positive legacy for future generations. As a child, I watched my grandmother be a servant-leader in Lawton, Oklahoma. By serving her church and other community organizations, she eventually ran for Lawton city council. In turn, my cousin ran for the same seat and serves to this day.
The lasting impact of service has had a major effect on me to be a self-advocate for myself and others. You can learn more about my platform to help serve Oklahoma at the “platform” tab above!
